A Vibrant Community Hub

From our need to find a new home: The Maison des générations—Olivet House was born.

A beautiful stone church will house this innovative project, which aims to create a vibrant community hub to bring people of all ages together through food.

Located in the heart of Sutton, Olivet House will continue to serve the public in a welcoming space that has brought people together since 1845.

Preserving Our Heritage

We are dedicated to preserving the beauty and historical value of the charming fieldstone church on Maple Street. Heritage experts & architects will guide us in renovating and adapting the building to the needs of the public. Funding obtained from the Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec will help transform the place of worship into the new Olivet House, while conserving and enhancing the building’s heritage features.

breathing new life into a beautiful space

Great care has been taken to preserve the existing architecture in eba architecture's design, allowing us to upgrade the building to make it accessible, safer, more functional and energy efficient. The current outer envelope and the general interior layout will remain and we will create a kitchen, food service infrastructures, a large community hall and work spaces within. Construction work began on Monday, August 8 2022 and will likely continue over the course of the next year.
