The CAB team

Management

After several years in the corporate and technology sectors, I felt the need to reconnect with what truly matters to me: community, engagement, and making a tangible difference in people’s daily lives. That’s what led me to CAB Sutton, a dynamic organization that plays a vital role in the lives of many people in Sutton and Abercorn.

As Executive Director, I oversee the organization’s operations, including project and service management, team supervision, and partnerships with local stakeholders. In short, I work to ensure that our volunteer centre remains a welcoming and empowering space for the entire community. Originally from France, I have been living in Québec since 2013 and quickly fell in love with the Brome-Missisquoi region and the incredible energy of its people. Here, solidarity is a way of life, and I am proud to be part of it!

Volunteer Coordination

My family and I settled into this beautiful region a few years ago and I love it here! What better way to spend my time than to support the community that has welcomed me and which I have adopted.

My role at the CAB is to meet persons that are interested in volunteering with us and to support those who already give us their time. Most of our services are volunteer based. I marvel at the generosity of people and the lovely friendships that arise while supporting our community.

Projects

Recently settled full-time in Sutton, I was eager to get involved in my community by joining the CAB. I bring with me over 20 years of experience in the community, humanitarian, and educational fields, always driven by the desire to contribute to meaningful projects.

At CAB Sutton, I work as a Project Manager. My role is to coordinate improvement initiatives and support the rollout of our strategic plan. I enjoy working as part of a team, leading concrete projects, and communicating with kindness in order to create a positive and lasting impact for the community.

Seniors Outreach Work

A South American by origin, I have worked for over 30 years in community and human rights organisations. With formal training in Journalism and Social Communication, I completed my first degree in Colombia with a second degree from the Metropolitan University of Toronto Ryerson and later graduated from the University of Montreal with the award of the Faculty of Cooperation and International Solidarity.

My work for the communities combines my academic background and extensive field experience; from directing a student radio program promoting the reforms that -through national coordination- achieved a new Colombian constitution, when I was 15 years old, to today, putting my heart into the beautiful community of Sutton.

Ressource Famille - Outreach

Having grown up here in the townships, it feels great to be in this role of service for my community. My family and I have travelled around the world quite a bit, and we are continually pulled back to this beautiful rural area. The townships (and Sutton/ Abercorn in particular) are a truly magical place! I have worked for the last 9 years as a birth and postpartum doula and before that as a special needs counsellor for individuals with disabilities.

My role here at the CAB is to be available to listen, support & make referral to other community services for anyone who is looking for help. Our fully bilingual services are available to anyone in need. One of my other roles is to animate the parent & baby group on Friday mornings, as well as the joujoutheque and depannage bambin program. Looking forward to meeting and sharing with you!

Originally from the Laurentians, I slowly migrated south. In Sutton, I started my family, found a home, and discovered my community. I regularly meet people from all walks of life and learn about the many facets of the local culture.

Through my involvement at CAB Sutton, I want to help showcase all these facets. When I work at the CAB, I take care to open the door to special people, to make their experience easier, and to make them want to come back. It’s a pleasure to see them again week after week at the CAB or elsewhere in the village. I am learning that simple gestures and presence are my best allies for connecting with my community.
