That&#8217;s what led me to CAB Sutton, a dynamic organization that plays a vital role in the lives of many people in Sutton and Abercorn.<\/p>\n<p>As Executive Director, I oversee the organization&#8217;s operations, including project and service management, team supervision, and partnerships with local stakeholders. In short, I work to ensure that our volunteer centre remains a welcoming and empowering space for the entire community. Originally from France, I have been living in Qu\u00e9bec since 2013 and quickly fell in love with the Brome-Missisquoi region and the incredible energy of its people. What better way to spend my time than to support the community that has welcomed me and which I have adopted.<\/p>\n<p>My role at the CAB is to meet persons that are interested in volunteering with us and to support those who already give us their time. Most of our services are volunteer based. After traveling across Quebec and working in the restaurant industry for nearly fifteen years, I now wish to leverage my skills in operations optimization for the greater good.\nIn my role as Services Coordinator, I ensure that the CAB&#8217;s core values are upheld and reflected in all our services. I welcome beneficiaries, members, and volunteers with kindness and attentiveness. I deeply believe in the power of community and know how to broaden my horizons to collaborate with various partners and stakeholders, fostering better synergy among the services offered to my community. I had the opportunity to work for several years as a manager in a perinatal center, a rich and human experience that allowed me to grow personally and contribute concretely to the well-being of families and the community.\nOriginally from Montreal, I recently moved to Sutton and am thrilled to be joining the CAB Sutton team. I bring with me over 20 years of experience in the community, humanitarian, and educational fields, always driven by the desire to contribute to meaningful projects.<\/p>\n<p>At CAB Sutton, I work as a Project Manager. My role is to coordinate improvement initiatives and support the rollout of our strategic plan. This experience allowed me to cultivate a strong ability to be present for others-something I have come to deeply value and genuinely enjoy in my work. It also shaped my approach, which is based on listening, respect, and concrete support.\nAt CAB Sutton, I focus on direct support and referrals to resources. I help individuals better understand their situation and guide them toward the appropriate services. My family and I have travelled around the world quite a bit, and we are continually pulled back to this beautiful rural area. The townships (and Sutton\/ Abercorn in particular) are a truly magical place! I have worked for the last 9 years as a birth and postpartum doula and before that as a special needs counsellor for individuals with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>My role here at the CAB is to be available to listen, support &amp; make referral to other community services for anyone who is looking for help. Our fully bilingual services are available to anyone in need. One of my other roles is to animate the parent &amp; baby group on Friday mornings, as well as the joujoutheque and depannage bambin program. In Sutton, I started my family, found a home, and discovered my community. I regularly meet people from all walks of life and learn about the many facets of the local culture.<\/p>\n<p>Through my involvement at CAB Sutton, I want to help showcase all these facets. When I work at the CAB, I take care to open the door to special people, to make their experience easier, and to make them want to come back. It&#8217;s a pleasure to see them again week after week at the CAB or elsewhere in the village.
